Took turbine side off my turbo. It’s cracked though and through white would cause leaking when the wastegate is shut. I guess it’s time to call it and upgrade to a 16g.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I’m fairly certain that the cracks was a result of running lean and hot when I had a throttle position sensor problem. Which cause a horrible fuel cut off, and took over a year to diagnose because I’m a professional idiot, or professional technician.

Once took me a year to figure out my tps was out of adjustment. I removed the motor to replace the wiring harness twice, replaced and/or rebuilt 3 ECU’s, and switched every single sensor at least once. Finally finding the problem is such a relief. Professional idiots don’t find the problem

I had the ECU rebuilt, replaced the fuel pressure regulator, plugs wires, and coils, replaced he o2 sensor, which I now have to do again, and a few other things. Basically I knew it was probably the TPS, but it was a 220 dollar part, so I spent 400 dollars on “cheaper” fixes hoping it was one of those.

Turned out at some point some one had put in a cheapo TPS and it has worn spot on the board. So when you were full boost at any amount of throttle it would cut off dual thinking you’re throttle was shut.

For me my car would go into limp mode after roughly 15 minutes of driving. The car would not rev past 2500rpm and if you did it would have to come back to idle before you could Rev anywhere under 2500. Turning the car off solved it for another 15 minutes.

Turned out the tps needed to be loosened and adjusted a smidgeon.
